Using the move option in the file list and if you press enter without typing in the correct file area should

It would help us all if you could quote so we all know what you're talking about.

Using the move option in the file list and if you press enter without typing in the correct file area should
abort and return to the file list.

There are like 10 ways to list files in Synchronet, so I don't know which "the file list" you're referring to. Please clarify.

When listing the files and use the m option to move a file to a different download area.

Filenames, specs, or flags [None]: b

    (1) Main File Library
    (2) Amiga
    (3) Apple
    (4) Commodore
    (5) FreeBSD
    (6) Linux
    (7) Microsoft Windows

Select the file area to move the file to.

So here's what that full prompt looks like:

Filenames, specs, or flags [None]: c

    (1) Main File Library
    (2) etc.

    Library [1]:

That "[1]" means that if you just hit enter, it'll choose '1' by default. That's consistent through-out (a stock) Synchronet BBS user interface. If you want to abort, hit 'Q' or Ctrl-C.
