The ctrl/dsts.ini file is what tracks Synchronet "daily statistics" and ctrl/csts.tab logs each dailys "cumulative statistics". Are those files getting updated?

Follow up: Apparently they don't exist, do I just make the files and see if they get updated?

Sure. Or do you have any dsts.* file in the ctrl directory at all?

I deleted and remade both files, it seems to work now.
    Thanks!

I'm confused: you said the files don't exist, so what exactly did you delete? --

Are you dsts.ini and csts.tab files getting updated? They contain date/time stamps.

I just nuked the server and it still doesn't update the files. I feel like I'm gonna lose it lol

I don't know what you mean by "nuked the server", can you clarify?

The stats files are only updated once a day, usually soon after midnight (especially if the event thread is running). I've asked you about the contents of those files (dsts.ini and csts.tab) a couple of times now - so I'll ask again: what's in the files?

Also, the log output of the server can give good clues as to when the stats were last rolled-over. Look for logged messages like these:

sbbs: evnt BBS Events New Day - Prev: Fri Nov 14 2025 12:00 am
sbbs: term Node 11 <Guest> New day detected

    Do you see them?

    Re-installed everything.

All the original files and settings are gone and it still doesn't work...

    Re-installed everything.

You were running v3.20d before, correct? What version are you running now? Nobody instructed you to re-install anything. That was not needed.

All the original files and settings are gone and it still doesn't work...

v3.20d has a known bug with creating the dsts.ini file for the first time. If you're running v3.20d, you'll need to create the dsts.ini file yourself, just a single line should do it:
    Date=Jan 1 2026

Then when the BBS runs it should update the file with current stats.

If you're running v3.21a, it doesn't have this bug and there should be no issue with a missing/empty dsts.ini file in a fresh install.

Apparently the whole system needed to be wiped, because when I restarted the server hardware it went into auto-repair, and when I finally restarted into the OS, it was complaining that it needed to be re-installed.
