    Hello McFly... Cubans make the 90 mile swim all the time. I know Cubans in Canada and in Florida.

    Cuba is not "MY" problem. I would like to see Cubans have the same freedoms you seem take for granted.

    Castro's Grandson, the one in charge now, said if it were up to him he'd strike a deal with Trump. Apparently the grandson says he's a capitalist.

    I'm rooting for the people of Cuba and I hope they attain their freedom someday.

    their current government? Why are we
    still doin Cold War shit? Let them
    have their Communist government as
    long as want and if they want to rebel
    let them do so. They can handle their
    own domestic issues. End the
    embargo and let them get on with their
    lives.

    In these types of governments who has the guns?? Not the citizens, the government has them. ~30-40K people killed in one week in Iran as the people protested their government.

    Try to escape and or protest in North Korea and live to talk about it.

    People swim 90 nautical miles in shark infested water to escape Cuba.

    I personally know Cubans and they are excited about the chance to be free from their governments tyranny.

    Trump has taken the Monroe Doctrine and added a twist to it... and now it's called the Donroe Doctrine.

    Root all you want. Were you or I or any
    of our elected officials elected to
    make Cuban government policy?

    Last I checked, if they are a
    functional state it's not our fuckin
    business. I would prefer to let Cuba
    exist as it does and trade with them
    like a normal country, and if we're so
    fuckin great, they will be convinced
    the the alleged superiority our system
    and want the things we have.

    I of course don't think that's how it
    would actually happen. But under
    Republican assertions, surely we should
    allow the magic of American Capitalism
    to work its wonders via the Invisible
    Hand of the Market to convince them
    their way sucks.

    We have no threat from Cuba anymore.
    There is no USSR around to shove nuke
    up in there. There is no reason to
    choke their country from all
    international trade via both emargo and
    via our trade rules basically makin it
    impossible for the entire world to
    simultaneously trade with us and Cuba.

    Doesn't seem very Capitalist to me,
